Dear Sandra,
It’s a pleasure to write to you. I am Mary Gorret, a girl you supported through wide smiles to attain college Education. I pray life is going well with you, and will always keep my fingers crossed, and ask the Almighty God to protect your life.
Life on my side has been great since I graduated and got employed with a teaching job that I always wanted so, I am serving God in that capacity.
I want to take this great opportunity to thank you for all that you did for me on my education journey because as I write this letter I am living up to the career I always envisioned holding with my two hands! and, I know it was all possible because of your kindness and dedication.
Mr. Kasule Kenneth found me at a point where I had lost hope in joining university because my mother couldn’t support me anymore with the exorbitant cost of education at University and of course having my other siblings who also needed education. At the time, my secondary school had already done its best to see that I finished my Advanced Secondary level, and the rest was to me and my financially grappling family.
Mr. Kasule found out I was one of the best students on the National Exams that year in my school, and yet he had just returned on his visit from Canada with some education hope for girls to join the university. That is how I got the opportunity to go to Ndejje University to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Education, majoring in English and Literature. Life at university was very different and the only thing I knew and put first was my God to help me achieve grades that will not only make me proud but also to the people who held my hand when we had no money to continue with school.
I finally graduated in 2021 with a First class Degree (Summa Cum laude) and became the second-best in my language class. Since then I look back and see how much I have been loved and favored so thus this gratitude message.
Thank you so much Sandra Sharp for holding my hand through this program, I know I am a change, and I will one day extend the same to the rest of the world.
Yours with love.
Mary Gorret.
