Dear Members of Grace Lutheran Church,
My name is Nicholas Lukwago and today I want to take this honor to thank the Mighty God that through your generous support, I finished my studies for the award of a Diploma in Electoral Engineering from Nakawa Vocational Training College; graduation is soon to be scheduled in this year 2024.
Nothing would have been possible without your support in my education. I joined the sponsorship program in the year 2014 in Form Two at Kasaka Secondary School. Both my parents died when I was very young and at the time I received your helping hand in my education through Mr. Kenneth Kasule, my Aunt by the name of Babrah who had stood in for me had already told me that she could not support me anymore. She wanted to focus on her children because her resource envelope could not afford to support all of us any longer. It is the reality but sometimes it pains when your only last hope in terms of educational support faces you and tells you “Nicho I am sorry I cannot offer you any more support in your education, as you see I have to take care of … ” referring to own biological responsibility.
Though it remains the truth and the truth has to be said, although sometimes it has a way of pushing you back in deep thoughts and having to feel as if you are alone again except for your God and you cannot be a priority to anyone because your parents died! But this is not true with you my dear sponsors at Grace and I have always had to pose while in my prayers and wonder about people from a far distance who could care about us and most importantly about me, when even my relatives distanced themselves when I needed them the most! Please thank you for supporting my education. I am now an electrical engineer.
Even though the graduation ceremony is not yet done, I go into the field with my acquired skills and put my knowledge to service the communities. I have started fending for myself; all the glory I bring to you my sponsors at Grace Lutheran church and God our creator. Without your support I was done, I was meant to drop out of school as soon as senior two.
God bless and protect your lives. I will share my original transcript when it is finally awarded
Yours faithfully
Nicholas Lukwago
